The Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientist 2024 ranking, which identifies the top 2% of scientists globally, is based on a publicly available database that provides standardized information on for example citations, h-index, co-authorship  and more. The database includes around 100,000 leading scientists from around the world.

The full database can be accessed on Elsevier's website.
